Garlic

Hi Martha
I got your postcard, thanks so much! Just got back from the oax, will show you pictures when we're back at school. Asked some women on the farm about cures for yeast infections (since I get them like it's my job) besides OTC and prescription drugs. I was told to go on a raw foods diet, except for eating massive amounts of plain yogurt, and to eat no sugar for 3 or 4 days. Also to use garlic- just peel and wash a clove, and then stick it up there. So far so good... the infection seems to be clearing up.

craft EXPLOSION

Dear Martha,
I went on a crafting binge! This is me after sewing for about 12 hours (not actually sleeping, of course). My friend Jilly took a picture of me after I jumped into all the fabric and said, "oof." I worked on my quilt and made some headbands (thought you'd be happy to hear about the headbands).
So what else have I been doing besides sewing up a storm, you ask? I made fruity quinoa for breakfast, grilled cheese casserole, stir fry, yummy muffins, and a myriad of other things. I've been reading Culture Jam (finished now- you can borrow it when I come back to school) and $20 A Gallon. Also have been listening to lots of Regina Spektor. Her new album, Far, is fabulously addictive.
Going to Pittsburgh tomorrow, Twin Oaks on Monday! Hope skiing is fun!
Love,
Claire

Martha My Dear

Dear Martha,
Thank you for being so awesome! Sometimes I just need to talk, and you are a great listener. I'm still stuffed from all the food. Have an awesome break and lots of scandalous adventures while skiing. And stay safe.

I'm wondering if we can create another tab that is still in this blog so we can have one tab for blog posts and another for lists of books, movies, etc. that we tell each other to respectively watch, read, etc.?

Sleep well.
Love,
Claire
